KEBO EDAN TEMPLE

Kebo Edan Temple not so far from Penataran Sasih Temple,on the right side of the road,there is a temple called Pura Edan Temple (Crazy Buffalo Temple).Here an ancient stone statue is kept beside a lot of others collected from surrounding villages and rice fields.The biggest statue is giant a bout 3,60 meter high.http://balikaryatransport.com/The local said that statue reprensent Bima,the second brother of Pandawa and it is believed to be the manifestation of Siwa.This statue has a mask on its face and it has four penises.http://balikaryatransport.com/It can't be dated exactly but it is known that the last King who held a ceremony here was King Sri Asura Ratna Bumi Banten on the 14th century.http://balikaryatransport.com/
